Established in 1881

We currently run three competitive open-age teams, all competing in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. In 2026, our 1st XI will play in the Premier League as they look to reclaim the title last lifted in 2023. Our 2nd XI also feature in the Saturday competition and provide a clear progression pathway from our 3rd XI, who play in the Sunday Premier Division. We also run a 4th XI, playing a small number of friendly fixtures each season to give younger and developing players their first experience of open-age, full-day cricket.

We are incredibly proud of the progress made by our ladies’ and girls’ section in recent years. Our ladies’ softball team have secured back-to-back GMCL Softball West titles in 2024 and 2025 and head into 2026 aiming for a third straight championship. We have also appointed a Ladies & Girls Cricket Development Lead to drive future growth in this area, with an exciting long-term ambition of establishing a competitive ladies’ hardball side.

Our facilities are among the best in the region. A recent investment in a state-of-the-art, three-lane net complex ensures players of all ages and abilities have access to high-quality training conditions throughout the year.

We are always delighted to welcome new players and members who want to enjoy competitive, ambitious and rewarding cricket in a friendly club environment. If you’re interested in joining Roe Green Cricket Club or would simply like to learn more, please feel free to get in touch.
