Roe Green Cricket Club is a village cricket club located in the leafy village of Worsley, Salford – around 8 miles from the centre of Manchester. Established in 1881, we are founder members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League where we currently field 3 senior teams. In 2023, our first XI won both GMCL Premier League title and the GMCL T20 Premier Cup – a historic double year for the club.
We are also home to numerous junior teams, with the ages of our junior cricketers ranging all the way from 5 to 18. Friday night training sessions at the club are highly successful, with up to 80 children regularly attending to learn how to play cricket. In recent years, our ladies cricket section has gone from strength to strength, with both softball and hardball teams competing in friendly and competitive competition.
An important part of the local community, we host family-friendly events and provide a meeting point for families, friends and neighours. Our clubhouse is fully equipped with both Sky Sports and TNT Sports, meaning that you can catch all of the big sporting fixtures in the comfort of our modern function room.
Non-members are very welcome, but if you wish to enjoy the benefits of RGCC membership, follow the links at the top of the page.
We look forward to seeing you at ‘the green’ soon!
