Welcome to Roe Green Cricket Club (Est. 1881)
Roe Green Cricket Club is a village cricket club located in the leafy village of Worsley, Salford – around 8 miles from the centre of Manchester.
As founder members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League, we currently field 3 senior teams, with our first eleven competing in the prestigious premier division. We are also home to numerous junior teams that compete in the local leagues, with the ages of our junior cricketers ranging all the way from 5 to 18. Friday night training sessions at the club are highly successful, with up to 80 children regularly attending to learn how to play cricket. We are also proud supporters of women’s cricket, with 2019 seeing the formation of the first competitive ladies team at Roe Green. Exciting plans are in place to increase the number of girls and women playing our brilliant sport.
The club holds an important place in the community, holding regular events throughout the calendar year. The highlight of the year is the famous annual bonfire, which regularly attracts thousands of local families and friends of the club.
The clubhouse is fully equipped with Sky Sports and BT Sport, meaning that you can catch all of the big sporting fixtures in the comfort of our modern function room. Non-members are very welcome, but if you wish to enjoy the benefits of RGCC membership, follow the links at the top of the page.
We hope to see you at ‘the green’ soon!
